OEM Honda Radiators

What is a Radiator?

A radiator is an essential component of your Honda vehicle's cooling system. It removes heat from the engine and maintains a safe operating temperature.

Signs of a Failing Honda Radiator

One of the most common signs of a failing radiator is overheating. If the engine temperature gauge rises above the normal range or if the vehicle's warning light comes on, it may be an indication that the radiator is not functioning correctly. An overheating engine can also cause steam or smoke to come out from under the hood, clearly indicating a serious problem.

Another sign of radiator failure is low coolant levels. If the coolant level is consistently low, it may indicate a leak in the radiator or the coolant system. Sometimes, the coolant may leak onto the ground, leaving a puddle underneath the vehicle.

If the engine temperature fluctuates or rises quickly and then falls again, it may indicate a problem with the radiator thermostat. The thermostat regulates the coolant flow and maintains the correct engine temperature. A malfunctioning thermostat can cause the engine to run too hot or cold, which can lead to overheating and other problems.

A failing radiator may produce unusual sounds in some cases. This can include hissing or bubbling noises, which may indicate a leak in the cooling system.
